I don’t think I’m being unreasonable here, but my order showed up with parts missing. I double-checked the box and the order details just to make sure I wasn’t overlooking anything, and it definitely wasn’t all there. Frustrating because I ordered it expecting everything to be included

I don’t know, the whole design just feels really dated and kind of all over the place to me. It almost seems like they were trying to cram in a bunch of stuff instead of making it clean and easy to use.

I went in for a closet consultation and it felt rushed. The person I met with was nice enough, but I didn’t feel like they really listened to what I was looking for and mostly just steered me toward a standard setup. What bothered me more was that it wasn’t clear who was actually responsible for the design or follow-up, so I left feeling like no one really owned the whole thing. Disappointing overall...

I tried putting together a custom closet setup, but the options were way more limited than I expected. I couldn’t adjust the parts the way I wanted, so it just got frustrating fast. On top of that, some of the pieces seemed like they’d been handled carelessly, which didn’t exactly make me feel better about the whole thing. I ended up giving up on it.

The parts themselves seem fine, so maybe I’m just not great at this kind of thing, but installing it was way harder than I expected. The instructions weren’t very clear, and I ended up redoing a couple sections twice because I wasn’t sure I had it right. It took up most of my day, and even now it still feels a little off.

I bought some Elfa shelving really expecting it to last for years, but after just a few months the brackets started feeling a little loose and one of the shelves is already sagging. I wasn’t storing anything crazy heavy on it either, so that was disappointing. For the price, I thought it would feel more durable. That said, it does look nice and maybe mine just didn’t install or settle quite right, but it still doesn’t feel as solid long term as I expected.

I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, so I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the return process was a headache. The steps weren’t very clear, and it ended up taking way more back and forth than it should have. I still like the brand, which is why this was extra disappointing.

The shelves are totally fine, but wow, the drawers are driving me a little insane. They don’t slide smoothly at all, and half the time they get stuck unless I pull them at the exact perfect angle like I’m cracking a safe or something. Setup wasn’t bad, but using them every day has become way more annoying than it should be. For the price, I expected them to glide better

Delivery took way too long and I barely got any updates. Frustrating.

I tried using the elfa planning tool thinking it would make the whole closet setup easier, but it did the opposite. After about 30 minutes, I just gave up because it was slow and shelves weren’t lining up the way I expected when I moved things around.

The controls felt way less intuitive than I thought they’d be. I kept having to click around for basic changes, and there were a couple times where I wasn’t even sure if my work had saved, which made it even more annoying.
I’m sure the actual products might be great, but the planning tool really missed the mark for me. I expected something helpful and simple, and instead it made shopping feel more complicated than it needed to be.

The pictures were tiny, a few steps seemed to be missing, and some of it didn’t even match the parts I had in the box. Come on now, it really shouldn’t be that hard to put together a basic shelf. I bought shelving from elfa.com expecting it to feel sturdy once installed, but it feels a lot wobblier than I thought it would. Maybe I’m being too picky, but shelves shouldn’t shift around this much, right?

I’ve gone back and checked the brackets and rails several times to make sure I didn’t miss something, and everything seems to be in place. I’m not even putting anything super heavy on them, just regular storage items, so I’m not sure why they still feel so unstable.

From what I remember, the virtual design help just didn’t go very smoothly. The designer missed my measurements twice, which made the whole process feel a bit frustrating, and I remember waiting a long time for replies too. it wasn’t as helpful as I expected.

The box showed up totally beat up and ripped open in spots, which was frustrating. The items inside seem mostly okay, but a few things were scratched, so I’m kind of torn. I’m glad it arrived, but the packaging really made it feel like it hadn’t been handled with much care.

I tried shopping on Elfa, it just felt like way more work than it should have been. Pages were loading slowly, and every time I went back, the filters seemed to reset, which got old really fast.

The cart was also kind of confusing, and I had to click around a lot just to find basic details. The products might be great, but the website made the whole process feel annoying enough that I gave up, if that makes sense.

I’m not sure if I just got a bad one, but the finish started peeling quickly after I got it. It makes me wonder if the materials are just kind of cheap, because it really didn’t hold up the way I expected. Has anyone else had this happen?
